Abstract:Objective: To discuss hepatocellular carcinoma enhancement characteristic and value of clinical application of arterial triple phase enhancement. Methods: Twenty-seven patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who had diagnosed clearly, they were all scanned by early arterial, middle arterial and late arterial phase, scanning time was 18s(early arterial), 24s(middle arterial), 30s(late arterial) after the contrast agent was injected. Results: Fourteen cases of hepatocellular carcinoma were enhancement and 13 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma were not enhanced in early arterial phase; which 9 cases had blood vessel-like enhancement and 5 cases had whole tumor parenchymal enhancement. Twenty-four cases of hepatocellular carcinoma had enhancement and 3 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma had no enhancement in middle arterial phase, which 16 cases had blood vessel-like enhancement and 8 cases had whole tumor of parenchymal enhancement. All cases were enhanced in late arterial phase with different degree which 4 cases had blood vessel-like enhancement and 23 cases had whole tumor parenchymal enhancement. Conclusion: Triple arterial phase enhancement can reflect enhancement characteristic of hepatocellular carcinoma, tumor vessels are well enhanced in middle arterial phase and whole tumor enhancement is good in late arterial phase.
