Abstract:Objective: To explore the value of high-frequency ultrasound in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant small breast lesions. Methods: A total of 95 cases(112 small breast lesions) confirmed by pathology received ultrasonography examinations, and the shape, edge, echoes, microcalcifications blood flow distribution were evaluated. Results: The differences between benign and malignant small breast lesions(≤1 cm) in shape, edge, microcalcifications and RI were of statistical significance(P<0.05). The sensibility, specificity and accuracy for diagnosing small breast cancer were 88.46%, 95%, 91.96% respectively. Conclusions: High-frequency ultrasound is valuable in differentiating benign and malignant small breast lesions, and improve the rate of diagnosis in small breast cancer.
