Abstract:Objective: To explore the feasibility and clinical application value of hand push injection of gadolinium Tony dimeglumine to perform MR portal venography. Methods: Thirty patients suffering from liver disease were divided randomly into 3 groups, ten patients in each group. 20 mL of gadolinium Tony meglumine were quickly injected into the vein of the patients by hand push injection in the first group. 20 mL gadolinium spray acid meglumine were quickly injected into the vein of the patients also by hand push in the second group. 30 mL gadolinium spray acid meglumine were injected into the vein of the patients in the control group by high pressure syringe to perform portal venography. Then determine the signal value of the corresponding region of interest in the three groups and evaluated the image quality. Result: The image of the potal vein and its branches showed clearly in the first group, compared to the control group, the signal value had no significant difference(P>0.05). In contrast, the image of the portal vein and its branches in the second group was unclear and fuzzy, compared to the control group, there were significant differences between the signal values(P<0.05). Conclusion: Using gadolinium Tony meglumine as the contrast agent by hand push to perform MR portal venography has clinical application value. It can simplify the operation and can also achieve the same image quality as using gadolinium spray acid meglumine with a high pressure syringe and thus can reduce the cost of examination.
