Abstract:Objective: To evaluate interlobular vessels with ultrasound in the diagnosis of chronic kidney diseases(CKD). Methods: A total of 57 CKD patients at different stages and 43 healthy adults served as control were enrolled in the study. Several dimensions of kidneys and resistance index(RI) of arteries were measured. Interlobular arteries were studied with eflow, and all the kidneys were classified into five types according to the ratio of interlobular artery to cortex. Results: When arcuate and interlobular arteries were detected, RI of CKD patients in each stage increased significantly compared with the control group, and RI of interlobular arteries of mild renal dysfunction patients were different from those of moderate and severe renal dysfunction patients significantly. The eflow types of CKD patients in each stage were different with the control group significantly, and the eflow of mild renal dysfunction was different from those of moderate and severe renal dysfunction significantly. Conclusions: Eflow, a new method of blood flow, can assess renal function and differentiate mild renal dysfunction from moderate and severe renal dysfunction.
